Key Goals

  • Enhance pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle circulation while maintaining and optimizing parking.

  • Improve corridor safety and aesthetics through streetscape enhancements, lighting, and fencing.

  • Integrate historic rail cars and rail-themed amenities as functional and interpretive features.

  • Strengthening physical and visual connections between downtown destinations and multi-modal systems.

  • Support economic development through placemaking, public gathering spaces, and adaptive reuse opportunities.

The project has been guided by a community-based planning approach that reflects the vision of residents, business owners, and visitors. Its long-term vision is to establish the 15th Street Rail Car Experience Corridor as a living testament to Cheyenne’s rail history while safely and comfortably moving people through an accessible, pedestrian-friendly environment that serves as a source of civic pride and a regional attraction.
